About The Position

Werner Fleet Truck Sales is seeking a motivated individual to sell Class 8 vehicles to the general public, other transportation companies, and current Werner drivers. This role offers a flat rate commission structure with 6-figure earning potential and operates on a Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM schedule, providing a stable alternative to variable commission structures based on margin and retail hours. The position involves generating sales leads and managing all aspects of the sales process for used tractors and trailers.

Requirements

  • Currently selling class 8 equipment
  • Experience with a flat rate commission structure

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Werner Enterprises’ used tractors and trailers by identifying and developing a customer base within previously structured demographics.
  • Maintaining the monthly sales objectives set by management.
  • Communicating with the Director and/or Sales Manager of Fleet Truck Sales to discuss daily business and other situations.
  • Ensuring that all equipment is prepared for sale and meets established condition parameters.
  • Maintaining a professional appearing sales facility, including the office and display area for equipment.
  • Relating to responsible individuals with Werner Maintenance in a positive and proactive manner, assisting in the reconditioning process and coordinating as needed.
  • Developing and maintaining working relationships with area vendors involved in reconditioning.
  • Monitoring the reconditioning process, tracking time with vendors, and ensuring quality of work.
  • Assisting in the transportation of equipment from the terminal location to vendor locations.
  • Maintaining necessary paperwork and dealer license requirements.
  • Performing related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
