About The Position

The Fleet Technician performs repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on company fleet vehicles and equipment, including diesel and gasoline trucks, trailers, pallet jacks, forklifts, and automobiles. The role maintains the fleet in accordance with DOT and other regulatory requirements to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of company vehicles and equipment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a 7:30 a.m. start time.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in auto mechanics and heavy equipment repair.
• Driving record that meets company policy.
• Ability to supply automotive hand tools.
• Basic proficiency with computer applications.
• Demonstrated automotive, mechanical, and technical aptitude.
• Working knowledge of methods, equipment, and techniques used in vehicle repair and maintenance.
• Ability to occasionally lift, push, and pull 50+ pounds, reach above head height, squat, kneel, bend, and reach.

Nice To Haves

• Class A Commercial Driver’s License preferred.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair company fleet vehicles.
• Schedule and conduct preventive maintenance.
• Test equipment to ensure proper functioning and performance.
• Respond to service calls.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
