About The Position

Groendyke Transport is hiring entry-level and experienced Fleet Technicians to maintain and repair its fleet of heavy-duty trucks and tank trailers. No tanker experience is required, and training is provided. Technicians perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently in a professional shop environment. Full-time positions are available, with day, night, and weekend shifts. Pay is $22–$32 per hour based on qualifications.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking.
• Experienced technicians must provide their own hand tools.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in diesel, heavy truck, trailer, automotive, or fleet maintenance is preferred for advanced technician roles.
• Entry-level technicians are encouraged to apply; tanker experience is not required, and training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspections, maintenance, and repairs on trucks and trailers.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on heavy-duty trucks and tank trailers.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and ABS systems according to experience level.
• Complete brake, tire, suspension, and trailer repairs.
• Complete inspections and maintenance documentation.
• Perform welding repairs as needed.
• Follow shop safety procedures and company standards.
