About The Position

SIXT is seeking a Fleet Technician to perform essential maintenance and repairs on rental vehicles, helping keep the fleet in good condition and maximizing vehicle availability. The work includes routine maintenance, tire service, vehicle inspections, and replacement of brakes and other parts.

The technician is expected to meet daily output goals while maintaining at least 100% efficiency, use required personal protective equipment—including safety glasses when working in automotive shops—and keep the work area clean. The role is based at the San Antonio Airport and requires 40 hours per week, with availability for day or evening shifts and 5–10% travel.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician or graduation from a trade school.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
• Able to work 40 hours per week, including day or evening shifts.
• Open to 5–10% travel.

Nice To Haves

• ASE Certifications in Suspension & Steering (A4) and Brakes (A5), or readiness to earn them within the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical repairs, including oil changes, mounting and balancing tires, tire repairs, and brake and part replacements.
• Complete pre-delivery inspections on fleet vehicles as required by management.
• Achieve daily output goals and maintain minimum efficiency of 100%.
• Use personal protective equipment for repairs, including safety glasses in automotive shops.
• Conduct daily cleanup of the work area and maintain a clean work environment.
