About The Position

The Fleet Technician maintains and repairs fleet vehicles to help keep drivers safe and vehicles on the road. The role includes diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and working alongside experienced mechanics on complex repairs and troubleshooting. The technician may return vehicles to the traffic center and is required to hold a valid CDL Class A license. The position is based in Fort Worth, Texas, with a stated schedule of Monday through Friday, starting at 3 AM and ending at 11 AM depending on operational needs; weekend, holiday, or off-shift work may also be required. The work is fast-paced and hands-on, with on-the-job classroom and practical training.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Hold a valid CDL Class A license.
Have no driver's license suspension or revocation in connection with a moving violation within the past three years.
Be able to lift 50 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be able to work in tight spaces for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be able to work on or under trucks for an entire shift of 8 to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be available to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts as required.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, diagnose mechanical issues, and complete preventative maintenance.
Work alongside experienced mechanics on complex repairs and troubleshooting.
Return vehicles to the traffic center when needed.
Manage parts inventory and accurately charge parts and labor to work orders using provided systems.
Build relationships with vendors when obtaining estimates for parts or outside labor.
