DKS3 - ECCL - Fleet Manager

Eccles ExpressLenexa, KS
Onsite

About The Position

This is a documentation-heavy, coordination-first position with light hands-on work. You'll be the single point of accountability for vehicle status, repairs, vendor relationships, and compliance. Success is simple to measure: maximum vans on the road, zero compliance gaps. You don't need to be a master technician, but you do need to be comfortable around vehicles, fluent in process and paperwork, and able to read dense corporate documentation and turn it into action.

Requirements

  • Documentation and process rigor — you're meticulous, organized, and you actually enjoy keeping records tight.
  • Ability to interpret complex standards documentation — you can digest Amazon's fleet standards, identify the policies that apply to a given situation, and implement them effectively and efficiently.
  • Automotive knowledge — you understand vehicle systems well enough to triage minor repairs and evaluate vendor estimates.
  • Amazon DSP familiarity — experience in or around the Amazon DSP ecosystem is a strong plus.
  • Vendor and cost management — comfortable coordinating multiple vendors and pushing back on scope and price.

Nice To Haves

  • Background as a service advisor, parts manager, fleet/logistics coordinator, or in a regulated/compliance-driven field
  • Experience with ticketing or work-order systems (e.g., Jira)
  • Experience filing commercial auto insurance claims
  • Familiarity with EV fleets

Responsibilities

  • Stay compliant. Read, interpret, and implement Amazon's fleet standards documentation — identifying which policies apply and putting them into practice efficiently.
  • Maintain the source of truth. Document real-time van status and location for the operations team.
  • Own Amazon tickets. Open a ticket for every out-of-service vehicle, monitor for tickets that auto-close, and reopen and re-justify them as needed.
  • Triage minor repairs in-house. Handle light hands-on work — lights, bolt-on parts, tires — to keep small issues from sidelining a van.
  • Coordinate vendor repairs. Route larger jobs to our repair vendors, obtain estimates, and follow up relentlessly to keep turnaround times short.
  • Control repair costs. Review estimates, question scope, and keep spend reasonable across vendors.
  • Manage insurance claims. File and follow up on auto insurance claims through resolution.
  • Run quarterly inspections. Complete fleet inspections each quarter using Amazon's AI photo-capture inspection tool.
