About The Position

The Fleet Manager is responsible for dispatching Class A Drivers, ensuring customer satisfaction, equipment utilization, and DOT compliance. This role involves accurate load entry, dispatch, and on-time delivery, as well as freight bill creation with exceptional attention to detail. The Fleet Manager will also serve as backup for administrative duties as needed and ensure all company safety policies are understood and enforced. This includes assisting with safety training, conducting safety checklists, and ensuring adherence to Hours of Service regulations, DOT/State regulations, and company safety policies. The role also requires auditing and correcting DOT Paper-logs and/or E-logs, ensuring timely inspections and repairs of assigned equipment, and charging responsible parties for preventable damages. Daily audits of fuel purchases are also a key responsibility. Current projects and reporting requirements will be assigned by the Site Manager.

  • Assisting with Monthly IIPP Yard and Office Safety Checklists and reporting them to the Site Manager
  • Ensuring adherence to Hours of Service regulations, DOT/State regulations, and company safety policies
  • Auditing and correcting DOT Paper-logs and/or E-logs
  • Ensuring timely PM/BIT inspections for assigned tractor and trailers
  • Ensuring equipment damages are reported on the safety register in a timely manner
  • Ensuring all preventable damages are charged to the responsible party
  • Daily audit of all fuel purchases
