About The Position

Valicor Environmental Services is seeking a Fleet Manager for its Louisville, Kentucky (Kramers Lane) facility. The position directs and dispatches fleet activities, coordinates fleet maintenance, plans driver routes and schedules, and serves as the first point of communication for transportation-related issues. The Fleet Manager provides timely customer service to internal and external customers, keeps current on applicable transportation regulations, and ensures drivers are trained on company safety policies and procedures. Candidates must pass the pre-screening process if offered the position, including a criminal background check, drug screen, and MVR check if applicable.

Requirements

At least five years of experience in fleet transportation or logistics at a supervisor level or above.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively in high-stress situations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and MVR check if applicable, if offered the position.

Responsibilities

Direct and dispatch fleet activities, including planning and scheduling driver routes.
Coordinate with the fleet maintenance program for the Louisville, Kentucky (Kramers Lane) facility.
Conduct weekly planning and coordination to develop route plans for the upcoming week, coordinating with internal and external parties.
Adjust driver schedules and routes based on capacity to optimize runs.
Use creativity and quick thinking to make decisions about last-minute scheduling.
Serve as the first-line contact for transportation-related issues.
Work independently to resolve issues and communicate when additional input is needed.
Provide timely customer service to internal and external customers for planning, scheduling, troubleshooting, and unexpected issues.
Remain current on DOT requirements and other applicable regulations.
Ensure drivers are properly trained on company safety policies and procedures.
