About The Position

Titan Florida, a wholly owned subsidiary of Titan America LLC, is hiring a Fleet Diesel Mechanic based out of Greenland Road in Jacksonville, Florida. The role coordinates and monitors maintenance and repairs for various types of mobile equipment, in the shop or on public roadways as needed, and helps maximize equipment availability through efficient, proactive preventative maintenance programs. The position ensures maintenance activities comply with applicable standards, policies, and regulations for safety and environmental responsibility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 to 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic working on commercial trucks, manufacturing equipment, or both.
• General knowledge of truck electrical systems.
• General knowledge of air brakes and their components.
• Knowledge of mobile air conditioning repair and its components.
• General knowledge of hydraulic components.
• General knowledge of driveline and suspension.
• Able to work shifts of 12 hours or more as needed.
• Able to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and frequently climb to heights of at least 50 feet.
• Able to speak clearly and listen attentively.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Current Commercial Driver's License (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical maintenance, including repairs and lubrication.
• Repair and maintain air brakes, vehicle air conditioning, and hydraulic systems.
• Repair and maintain truck electrical systems, including 12V and/or 24V DC systems.
• Report equipment breakdowns to generate work orders.
• Prepare work orders.
• Keep operated equipment clean and safe.
