About The Position

DriveWhip (Whip) is a mobility provider that leases or rents vehicles to Uber, Lyft, and other on-demand or rideshare drivers. The Fleet Associate helps manage the rideshare vehicle fleet and keep daily operations running smoothly. The role supports vehicle readiness, logistics, and fleet coordination, ensuring cars are clean, well-maintained, organized, and ready for drivers. Associates are expected to support the company’s customer-service goals and be comfortable with the variety of responsibilities associated with a startup environment. The position is based in Chicago, Illinois, and pays $18–$25 per hour depending on experience.

Requirements

• Passion for cars and mobility, including keeping vehicles in good condition.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage schedules, paperwork, and vehicle conditions.
• Hands-on and proactive approach to completing tasks.
• Strong communication skills when working with drivers, mechanics, and management.
• Valid driver’s license; moving vehicles or assisting with deliveries may be required.
• Ability to perform the physical demands described, including occasionally lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds and working outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vehicle check-ins, inspections, and readiness to ensure vehicles perform well.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and clean vehicle interiors to keep cars road-ready.
• Track vehicle availability, maintenance schedules, and key documentation.
• Coordinate with service and operations teams to optimize fleet availability.
• Operate, move, and park vehicles safely and efficiently as needed.
• Perform light maintenance or cleaning tasks as needed.
• Support a positive rental experience for customers.
