About The Position

As a Flat Rate Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of vehicle systems while delivering high-quality workmanship in an efficient manner. Successful candidates will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license
  • Previous automotive technician experience required
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills across multiple vehicle systems
  • Ability to operate diagnostic tools, scan tools, and shop equipment safely and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, flat-rate environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset
  • Must be willing to complete a background check and drug screening
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with automotive repair
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Nice To Haves

  • ASE Certifications preferred but not required
  • Manufacturer certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on vehicles according to manufacturer and dealership standards
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, HVAC, and electrical systems
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment and service information systems to identify and resolve vehicle concerns
  • Perform factory-recommended maintenance services and vehicle inspections
  • Accurately document repair orders, findings, and completed work
  • Communicate repair needs and recommendations with service advisors and management
  • Maintain productivity and efficiency while ensuring quality workmanship
  • Follow all dealership, manufacturer, and safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with automotive technology and manufacturer requirements
