About The Position
The Fitness Equipment Technician maintains and repairs fitness equipment in a resort-style club environment. The role helps ensure member safety by promptly repairing nonfunctional equipment and performing preventive maintenance. The technician also coordinates and communicates general repairs and facility maintenance with club management. The position contributes to providing quality service to members. The employer notes that no prior experience is necessary and training is provided on the job.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Less than one year of experience in a related field.
- CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Ensure equipment on the fitness floor is operating safely.
- Keep records of repairs performed on equipment.
- Maintain electrical components, audio/video systems, basic plumbing, and perform general building tasks.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment is working.
- Update purchase orders, order repair parts, and establish a timeframe for part delivery.
- Help the Department Head manage the budget.
- Coordinate and communicate general repairs and facility maintenance with club management.
