About The Position
The Fitness Equipment Technician maintains and repairs fitness equipment in a resort-style environment. The role helps ensure member safety by promptly repairing non-functional equipment and conducting preventative maintenance. The technician also coordinates and communicates general repairs and facility maintenance with club management. The position supports a high-quality member experience. On-the-job training is provided; no prior experience is necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Less than one year of experience in a related field.
- CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Ensure equipment on the fitness floor is operating safely.
- Keep records of repairs performed on equipment.
- Maintain electrical components, audio/video systems, basic plumbing, and perform general building tasks.
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is working.
- Update purchase orders, order repair parts, and create a timeframe for part delivery.
- Help the Department Head manage the budget.
- Coordinate and communicate general repairs and facility maintenance with club management.
