About The Position

Fitness Machine Technicians is seeking a technician to provide repair and preventive maintenance services for residential and commercial customers. The role involves servicing equipment at customer homes and commercial facilities, delivering professional customer service, and maintaining accurate work order records. Technicians travel locally between jobs in a branded company vehicle. Training is provided as needed.

Requirements

At least one year of mechanical or electrical aptitude and experience working with hand tools.
Positive attitude and professional appearance.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and colleagues.
Ability to use a phone or tablet for scheduling and job reports.
Ability to travel locally each day.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Self-starter with problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and plan, organize, and manage varied tasks.
Ability to pass a background check.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Experience repairing fitness equipment; not required, as additional training is provided as needed.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on fitness equipment at residential and commercial customer locations.
Identify replacement parts needed so the main office can order them for the customer.
Assemble and disassemble equipment and perform installations at commercial facilities.
Complete accurate and thorough customer work order reports using Field Service Management software.
Interact professionally with customers, maintain client relationships, and explain repairs and equipment failures.
Drive between job sites in a branded vehicle and keep the vehicle clean and organized.
Occasionally lift heavy equipment.
