About The Position
Fitness Center Staff provide health and fitness services and help maintain a safe, clean environment. Responsibilities include initiating fitness assessments, providing exercise and equipment orientations, and promoting fitness center programs and services. Opportunities are available at the Avon and Mentor Fitness Centers. Requirements
- Fitness Specialist: Bachelor's degree in health, exercise science, physical education, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Group Fitness Instructor: High school equivalent or GED.
- Massage Therapist: High school equivalent or GED and at least 2 years' experience in two or more massage technique disciplines.
- Lifeguard: Current lifeguard training certificate, including First Aid, AED, and CPR for Professional Rescuer, from the American Red Cross or an equivalent nationally recognized organization.
Nice To Haves
- Group Fitness Instructor: Associate's degree in Exercise Science or a similar field of study.
- Group Fitness Instructor: Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a similar field of study.
- Lifeguard: High school equivalent or GED.
