About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including promptly and cordially greeting and acknowledging customers, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a world-class customer service commitment and aims to provide every customer with a pleasant, productive, and legendary shopping experience. The Outfitter assists customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. The role also demonstrates products, maintains product knowledge through ongoing training, replenishes and restocks merchandise, maintains advertised pricing and signage, assists with seasonal merchandise moves, and keeps the work area clean, neat, and stocked. The position performs duties under general supervision and follows established procedures while using judgment to resolve routine problems and recommend improvements to work practices.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent experience.
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including standing or walking constantly during a shift and moving objects as described.

Responsibilities

Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and in a friendly manner.
Handle merchandise with care and provide customers with information, assistance, and direction.
Support a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
Demonstrate products to customers.
Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines and as required.
Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
Remain knowledgeable about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
Help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products.
Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Use established procedures and occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and resolve problems; make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.
