DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position supports the State and Special Funds Division by carrying out important accounting and fiscal management tasks. Through your work, you will play a key role in keeping financial information accurate and ensuring smooth processes. As a Fiscal Management Specialist 1, you will perform the following duties: Budget Support: Provide assistance with preparation, analysis, monitoring, and personnel related tasks for state funds System Maintenance: Maintain user access in the Spending Plan System by adding, removing, and updating employee permissions Balance Review: Examine negative balance reports and notify the appropriate analyst of issues requiring attention Revenue Monitoring: Track augmenting revenue deposits and enter corrections in SAP after coordinating with the State Division analyst AR Oversight: Monitor open Accounts Receivable items and work with program areas to pursue delinquent payments and prepare documents for collection Complement Review: Check weekly complement reports to confirm that staffing and salary levels align with authorized levels Interested in learning more? Requirements

  • One year as a Financial Programs Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of experience in paraprofessional fiscal administration work, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
