Requirements

• One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• One year of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.
• Be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Examine complex financial cost reports to ensure completeness and alignment with regulations and reimbursement principles
• Request missing information, verify reported data, and assist providers with corrections for acceptable cost report submission
• Prepare reports that evaluate provider financial activity and highlight impacts on the Medical Assistance Program
• Develop payment rates for newly enrolling hospitals and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) participating in the Medical Assistance Program
• Participate in planning and testing updates to automated reporting systems and maintain related provider databases
• Review provided documentation to determine rates for exception procedures and specialized medical equipment
