Requirements

• One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• One year of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field
• An equivalent combination of experience and training
• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required
• Must meet the PA residency requirement
• Must be able to perform essential job functions
• Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Develop projections, review expenditures, and adjust accounts based on program needs
• Analyze financial reports of open encumbrances to ensure accuracy and prevent lapses in program funds
• Process payments, oversee invoice handling, and supervise accounting for expenditures
• Oversee inventory records and authorize updates to fixed asset documentation
• Prepare refund documents, verify collections, and maintain supporting fiscal records
• Guide the work of accounting staff and ensure training and performance standards are met
