Requirements

  • One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
  • Two years of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Meet the PA residency requirement
  • Be able to perform essential job functions
  • Submission of criminal history reports
  • Pass a background investigation
  • Obtain federal security clearance HSPD-12 prior to beginning employment

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and oversight to fiscal staff to ensure efficient daily operations
  • Retrieve and interpret fiscal information from systems such as NCPS, DCPS, SAP, and BW to support accurate reporting
  • Oversee development, review, and monitoring of state budgets, funding levels, and obligation reports
  • Compile fiscal documentation and support audit requests by state and federal partners
  • Follow federal and state regulations to guide fiscal practices and ensure proper governance
  • Review existing work procedures and implement enhancements to strengthen fiscal operations
