About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is hiring for a First-Line Materials Management Manager (K-level) to join the Phantom Works team located in Berkeley, MO. This position manages and integrates employee activities across multiple areas in materials management. It involves developing and executing project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures, and setting operational goals. The role requires acquiring resources for projects and processes, providing technical management of suppliers, and leading process improvements. Additionally, it involves developing and maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports, and providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. The manager will also be responsible for managing, developing, and motivating employees, overseeing inventory compliance with DCMA and DCAA requirements, and continuous engagement with policies, processes, and procedures to maintain Materials Management and Accounting Standards (MMAS) compliance, customer expectations, and corporate accountability.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain, warehousing, or materials management.
  • 3+ years of experience establishing relationships and maintaining strong on-going communication with customers, suppliers and/or vendors
  • 3+ years of experience with Compass Contract (MRP) System and/or another MRP system
  • Experience in facilitating or helping to lead process improvement activities.
  • Active US Security Clearance
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
  • This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
