About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a First-Line QAI Manager (Level K) to join the 737 Factory Quality MRB/QAI Team in Renton, WA. We are looking for an energetic and proactive Front-Line Leader to join our 737 Factory Quality Team. This role demands a critical thinker with strong business acumen who is passionate about coaching and eager to drive cultural change within the organization. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing multi-functional teams within a production environment
  • 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Minimum of one year of leadership experience (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership"
  • Must be able to work any shift based on the needs of the operation

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in a production environment
  • High energy and enthusiasm for driving cultural change and improvement
  • 1+ years’ experience in quality leadership
  • 1+ years’ experience with Project Management
  • Experience working with the Problem-Solving Models or Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
  • Bachelor's degree in related field

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of employees responsible for evaluating and ensuring that products, services, and processes meet customer contract requirements, engineering standards, company procedures, and government regulations
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance
  • Provide education and coaching on the Quality System, empowering team members to understand and uphold quality standards
  • Acquire and manage resources efficiently, leading initiatives that drive process improvements and optimize performance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers, and direct reports to foster collaboration and success
  • Inspire, develop, and motivate employees, cultivating a high-performance culture that embraces change and encourages professional growth
