About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Fireplace Assembler - 1st Shift to join our team located in Rice Lake, WI. This role offers a competitive starting wage of $18.50/hr with annual increase opportunities. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m., with varying overtime needs during the busy season. This is a lightweight production and assembly role in a fast-paced, safety-focused, and family-oriented work environment, offering variety in job tasks and opportunities for training, cross-training, and career advancement.

Nice To Haves

• Production, assembly, warehouse, mechanical, or other hands-on experience is preferred but not required
• Basic mechanical aptitude or hand-tool experience is a plus to move up quickly

Responsibilities

• Machine operation and setup
• Manual fireplace barrier fabrication
• Palletizing finished goods
• Complete quality checks and maintain attention to detail
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and improve overall workflow efficiency.
• Promote a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proactively reporting potential hazards.
• Demonstrate dependable attendance and punctuality
