About The Position

The Assembler is responsible for inspecting, counting, and packaging products according to standardized work instructions and quality standards. The role requires working safely, packing quality products, and maintaining 5S in the work area. This position is onsite in Portland, Tennessee, and reports to the Production Supervisor.

The role involves visual inspections, boxing and labeling products, taping boxes, monitoring equipment, and lifting and carrying boxes weighing up to 45 pounds. Assemblers may assist with training new employees, participate in Lean Manufacturing efforts and Kaizen events, and cover other positions after receiving appropriate training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One month or less of similar or related work experience.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions.
• Ability to write identifying information.
• Ability to request parts or supplies verbally or in writing.
• Must already have work authorization permitting employment with ABB in the United States.
