Securitas is seeking Full-Time Firefighters to respond to a variety of emergency scenes, including fire, medical, hazardous materials, and more. This role involves performing rescue and suppression efforts, providing patient care, and assisting with security duties. Requirements

Must be 18 years of age.
Pass a lifetime background and drug test.
High School Diploma or GED.
Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
N.F.P.A. Firefighter 1 and 2 required.
Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations Level certifications.
National Registry or State of Indiana Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification.
Out of state certifications must be transferable to Indiana and completed within 90 days of hire.
Must be able to meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, and local certification requirements for EMT or EMR.
Valid Driver’s license.
Visible body piercing accessories or visible tattoos are not permitted, unless authorized.

Responsibilities

Respond to emergency scenes including fire, medical, bomb threats, flooding, sprinkler system discharge, elevator emergencies, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.
Perform scene size-up and relay information to dispatch and supervisor.
Perform rescue procedures such as vehicle extrication, machinery extrication, and high/low angle rescue.
Utilize fire apparatus, hydrants, hose stations, and extinguishers for fire suppression.
Respond to hazardous material emergencies and perform spill containment.
Respond to medical emergencies, initiate patient assessment and stabilization, and transport patients.
Relay patient care information to medical personnel.
Administer treatment of injuries and illnesses following established medical protocols.
Perform triage duties during mass casualty incidents.
Provide standard security duties including unlocking doors, escorts, patrols, and reporting irregularities.
Prepare logs and reports as required.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
