About The Position

The Firearms Specialist assists with customer service and sales in the Sporting Goods Department. The role is responsible for timely and accurate completion of records involving firearm sales and maintaining compliance with FFL regulations. The position is part-time in Bottineau, North Dakota, with an hourly pay range of $10.00–$16.00, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Good understanding of A&D log requirements and best practices; filing denied and no-transfer 4473s; standardized filing of completed 4473s; recording multiple sales and multiple handgun sales; proper corrections to a 4473 by employees and customers; acceptable forms of customer identification; when a sale should be refused; and what constitutes a straw sale.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in the retail store and assist with customer service questions.
• Price merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.
• Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
• Assist with receiving freight and organizing incoming products as directed by store management.
• Assist in cycle counts.
• Keep the store prepared for ATF and/or internal audits.
• Maintain timely and accurate firearm-sale records and compliance with FFL regulations.
