About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains firearm counter sales and customer service, as well as floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role involves greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction. Associates support a productive shopping experience by helping customers make buying decisions, demonstrating products, and maintaining merchandise and the sales area. They must follow company policies and procedures and may be assigned other duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Knowledge of customer service and sales of firearms and ammunition, including GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and help create a pleasant shopping experience.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs, recommend products, and promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Ensure Form 4473 documents are completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise at the gun counter and throughout the retail store.
• Replenish shelf products according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
