About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains counter sales and customer service for firearms, along with floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role includes greeting customers promptly and warmly, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction.

The associate supports a high standard of customer service and a productive shopping experience by learning customers’ needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup. The role also involves accurately completing Form 4473, demonstrating products, maintaining and replenishing merchandise, staying current on product knowledge and advertised sales, assisting with seasonal merchandise moves, and keeping the work area clean and stocked. The associate follows company policies and procedures and performs other duties as assigned.

This is a part-time role. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Customer service and sales knowledge related to firearms and ammunition.
• GCA knowledge.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and help create a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs and recommend products accordingly.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Ensure Form 4473 is completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Develop the ability to demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise in the retail store, including merchandise at the gun counter.
• Replenish products according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
