About The Position

Atlantic Emergency Solutions is hiring a diesel mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair fire trucks and ambulances used by first responders. The position is based in Manassas, Virginia, in an indoor service and maintenance shop, with occasional field or outdoor work as needed. The company describes its shops as clean, compliant, and efficient, and emphasizes consistent hours and a predictable schedule. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with no rotating shifts. Overtime may be available. Pay is listed as $25.00–$45.00 per hour, depending on experience. Requirements

Diesel mechanic experience; heavy-duty or emergency vehicle experience is preferred.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
Ability to stand, walk, lift, push, pull, crouch, and climb.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, brakes, suspension, and air systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on fire trucks and ambulances.
Document repairs, labor time, and parts usage accurately.
Complete safety inspections and ensure vehicles are ready for service.
Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow OSHA and company safety standards.
Assist other technicians as needed and work as part of a team.
