About The Position

EwingCole is seeking a Fire Protection Engineering Intern for Summer 2027, based in its Philadelphia office, with the option to work from the Philadelphia or Berwyn office. The internship offers a learning experience in fire alarm, fire protection, and life safety systems and how these systems affect building design and renovation. As part of the Fire Protection Discipline, the intern will assist engineers with system design and project documentation, and may use or gain experience with AutoCAD and Revit.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an ABET program pursuing a BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
• Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Professional Engineers and EITs with developing designs for fire protection, fire alarm, and life safety systems.
• Create plans and details for projects.
• Use or gain experience with AutoCAD and Revit to incorporate or draw systems into computer-modeled buildings.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
