About The Position

EwingCole is seeking a Fire Protection intern for Summer 2027 in its Philadelphia office, with the option to work from the Philadelphia or Berwyn office. The role offers a learning experience in fire alarms, fire protection, and life safety systems and how they affect the design or renovation of buildings. As part of the Fire Protection Discipline, the intern will assist with design work and develop experience with relevant plans, details, and building-modeling software.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an ABET program pursuing a BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Professional Engineers and EITs with developing designs for fire protection, fire alarm, and life safety systems.
• Create plans and details for projects.
• Use or gain experience with AutoCAD and Revit to incorporate or draw systems into computer-modeled buildings.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
