About The Position

Haskell’s Design & Consulting Team brings together architecture, engineering, and consulting professionals to serve clients across multiple industries and project delivery methods. The team works in markets including food and beverage, consumer products, aviation and aerospace, civil infrastructure, healthcare, and Federal Government projects.

The Summer 2027 Fire Protection Design Intern will support multidisciplinary project teams with assigned tasks and have opportunities for professional and personal development. The intern will participate in training on company management tools, standards, policies, and procedures, and may network with interns across the enterprise through scheduled workshops, events, and group projects focused on Haskell’s culture and values.

Requirements

• Pursuing an Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, focused on the practice of Fire Protection.
• Excellent organizational, communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CAD or Revit design software is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Improve knowledge of how construction and design teams interact, particularly in Fire Protection design.
• Prepare and monitor documents and work with a licensed Engineer to prepare designs and resolve issues.
• Participate in project strategy meetings within the discipline and gain exposure to design concepts, pricing, and proposal techniques and requirements.
• Participate in design research and other activities as directed.
• Engage with other interns across the enterprise as part of the Summer Internship Program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
