About The Position

The Finishing Packer inspects, bands, and shrink-wraps stacks of finished labels and assembles and packs boxes of finished labels. The role is responsible for meeting safety, production, sustainability, and quality standards and interacting with other departments to support the company’s core strategies. This is an entry-level position intended to provide opportunities to grow into different roles within the company.

The position involves standing for a full shift, frequent walking, operating a pallet jack, and maintaining facility housekeeping. Employees must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds. The listed shift is 1st shift.

Requirements

• Able to stand for a full shift.

• Able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Physical ability to stand, use hands to feel and touch, reach with arms and hands, and talk and hear.
• Ability to walk frequently.
• Ability to occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished labels to ensure quality.
• Band and shrink-wrap stacks of finished labels.
• Assemble corrugated boxes or trays.
• Pack finished labels in boxes for shipment.
• Stack boxes on a pallet for shipment.
• Complete required documentation accurately and promptly.
• Operate a pallet jack.
• Comply with facility safety policies and procedures, work instructions, and applicable regulations, including ISO, GMA SAFE, and HACCP.
• Interact and behave professionally, treat associates respectfully, and maintain the company’s code of ethics.
• Maintain daily housekeeping, which may include painting and cleaning the facility interior and exterior.
• Travel as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
