About The Position

The Baillie Group’s Rip Line is hiring Finished Goods Handlers to support day-to-day operations at its commercial hardwood lumber manufacturing operation near Upstate New York. The company produces building products for multiple industry sectors. This is a full-time, direct-hire position. The anticipated pay range is $17–$20 per hour, with overtime hours and pay. Employment is contingent on successfully passing a physical examination, including drug screening.

Requirements

Be 18 years of age or older.
Be detail oriented.
Be self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask.
Have a great attitude.
Be able to stand for long periods and bend and stoop.
Successfully pass a physical examination, including drug screening, as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a warehouse worker is preferred.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; ability to read a measuring tape, calipers, and digital indicators.
A high school degree is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Identify the sort for the carts assigned to you.
Place finished products into the correct carts according to the width and length of the pieces.
Arrange pieces so the top, bottom, and outside pieces are the longest.
Ensure all edges are free of knots, wane, and other defects.
Build square bundles with edge boards against the pipes of the cart.
Fill each bundle and finish it with a top layer.
Push completed bundles out for forklift removal.
