About The Position

Turner Industries is seeking a Finish Dozer Operator for its Specialty Services team. The position operates power-driven machinery to move dirt or other materials and shave and grade surfaces to exact blueprints and grade stakes. This is a non-exempt role reporting to the Foreman or Site Manager. Duties are assigned according to specific procedures and work is checked frequently.

The operator controls equipment using hand and foot levers, interprets hand signals to determine material placement, and reads and interprets load charts. The role may include assembling or disassembling equipment or materials on construction projects, operating equipment on uneven surfaces, and performing maintenance such as cleaning, greasing, and oiling machinery.

Final agreed compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience. Benefits vary depending on employment status.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Finish dozer operator experience required.
• Heavy equipment operation experience required, including bulldozer, dump truck, and loader.
• Pass a pre-employment qualification test.
• Complete a post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation; 20/40 vision, with or without correction, is required.
• Successfully complete job site orientation.
• Comply with all job site safety requirements specified by the client, which may include being clean-shaven and wearing long sleeves and steel-toe boots.
• Use safety equipment required by the client, which may include a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, and safety harness with lanyard.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.
