About The Position

Sanford Contractors is seeking a dependable, experienced Bulldozer Operator for site preparation and grading. The operator safely operates CAT D5–D8 bulldozers for fine grading, earthmoving, and site preparation while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and strict safety standards. The position also involves supporting site safety, maintaining equipment, and working outdoors in varied weather and terrain.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards.
• Attention to detail and a flexible, professional work ethic.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift more than 50 lbs, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb ladders regularly.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate CAT D5–D8 bulldozers for fine grading, earthmoving, and site preparation.
• Use grade stakes, GPS guidance, and supervisor directives to achieve required grades.
• Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections, keep equipment clean, and promptly report maintenance issues.
• Attend daily planning huddles, identify hazards, and protect existing utilities.
• Mentor junior crew members and restore completed work areas.
• Perform physical labor including shoveling, raking, using hand tools, and handling materials around trenches or uneven terrain.
