About The Position

Fisher Industries is hiring a Dozer Operator to operate D8/D9 dozers and construct embankment and fill areas on projects. The role requires proficiency moving dirt and working in mountainous terrain. The position may involve day or night shifts, travel, overtime, and weekend work.

Requirements

• Five years of earthmoving experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy.
• OSHA certification or willingness to obtain certification; the company will pay for certification.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to follow and enforce safe work practices.
• Self-directed, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to travel out of town for extended periods and work night shifts and/or weekends as required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Operate D8 and D9 dozers safely and efficiently to meet production targets.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip walk-around safety inspections and complete daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities.
• Maintain heavy equipment in good operating condition and report and log maintenance requirements or concerns.
• Complete production reports and other required documentation.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members.
• Comply with OSHA and company safety policies, procedures, and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
