About The Position

The Level I, Financial Wellness Partner (FWP) – Proposals is responsible for administering Consumer Proposal files and resolving proposal-related matters in a proactive and compliant manner. This role involves frequent interaction with clients, external stakeholders, and internal team members. The Level I FWP ensures that all proposal administration activities align with established procedures and legislative requirements, while delivering high-quality service and maintaining accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Secondary school (high school or equivalent)
• <1 year or limited to no previous experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet applications.
• Strong aptitude for learning new software programs.
• Time management and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Post-secondary diploma in a related field such as business, accounting, or finance.
• Experience in insolvency or a related industry such as financial services, insurance, banking, or credit unions.
• Basic understanding of the BIA.
• Experience with insolvency or industry-specific software is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA) and OSB Directives for Division II Consumer Proposals.
• Document all proposal administration activities in accordance with BSI’s best practices.
• Use Proposal Administration dashboards to monitor estate files, client performance, and discharge readiness.
• Follow up with clients on NSFs, arrears, and missed payments.
• Verify information for compliance with the BIA and Privacy Act.
• Deliver timely and accurate administrative services.
• Identify and escalate issues using established procedures and judgment.
• Use insolvency software to process debtor information.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
