About The Position

The Financial Solutions Advisor (FSA) Stage I role at Bank of America is a developmental position focused on helping individuals obtain the necessary Securities Industry licenses (SIE, Series 7, and Series 66) through dedicated training and classes. Upon licensing, the role involves learning foundational skills for client relationship management, understanding complex financial needs, and providing advice and solutions. The FSA I will work in a financial center, delivering core banking and investment solutions while humanizing financial interactions. Successful performance leads to progression to FSA Stage II, where the focus shifts to growing and deepening relationships within a client portfolio. The Academy provides ongoing support, tools, and resources throughout the career journey. This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, including background checks and registration in the federal registry system, which is a condition of employment.

  • High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently holds FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE).
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of one year of financial services industry or sales experience.
  • Series 63 & 65 accepted in lieu of Series 66.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 licenses within specified timeframes (SIE within 30 days, Series 7 & 66 within 120 days).
  • Learn and apply foundational skills for acquiring, building, and managing client relationships.
  • Assess client's complex financial picture and guide them with advice and solutions.
  • Humanize financial interactions.
  • Deliver Bank of America’s core banking and investment solutions in a financial center setting.
  • Provide end-to-end comprehensive advice and deliver client reviews/presentations.
  • Recommend strategies to help clients achieve their financial goals and life priorities.
  • Collaborate with core banking and investment partners.
  • Connect clients to solutions provided by Bank of America and Merrill.
  • Grow and deepen relationships within a portfolio of clients (as progression to Stage II occurs).
