About The Position

First Quality Consumer Products is seeking a talented, team-oriented college student to join its Financial Services department in McElhattan, Pennsylvania. This paid internship provides hands-on experience in the corporate finance department of a growing, family-owned group of manufacturing companies. The intern will gain exposure to senior finance staff, plant finance operations, and company systems, with experience in Accounts Receivable, Logistics, and Accounts Payable. The role involves contributing to real projects and supporting a fast-paced team and the businesses’ operations and cash conversion cycle. First Quality provides at least annual training on data privacy and security to employees whose roles may involve contact with sensitive data. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, or demonstrated progress toward a degree, in a related field of study such as Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
Minimum 3.0 GPA.
0–3 years of experience, including academic projects.
Highly motivated and a strong team player, with the ability to multitask and reprioritize as necessary.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Authorization to work in the U.S.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

Junior or senior standing is preferred.

Responsibilities

Collect customer account balances through phone and email contact.
Review, investigate, and act on customer deductions within assigned time frames.
Work with Sales Ambassadors and Brokers to resolve claims as needed.
Perform root cause analysis and interact with peers in cross-functional departments.
Maintain customer files in the ERP system as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
