About The Position

This part-time internship is based in Superior Construction’s corporate office in Jacksonville, Florida. It provides hands-on experience in finance and accounting, including financial reporting, forecasting, business unit analysis, return on investment, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger maintenance. The intern works with the Finance and Accounting team to support day-to-day operations, learn financial best practices, and gain insight into the function’s importance to the business. The role also offers exposure to the company and opportunities to build a cross-functional professional network.

Requirements

• Working toward a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related discipline.
• Team-oriented and able to work collaboratively.
• Positive attitude toward learning and professional development.
• Ethical conduct.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license before employment.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Suggest improvements to finance and accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist with monthly or quarterly closing activities and help ensure accounts are up to date.
• Work closely with the Finance and Accounting team to support day-to-day operations and gain exposure to financial processes.
• Complete additional tasks or projects related to accounting and office operations.
