About The Position

This part-time internship is based in Superior Construction’s corporate office in Jacksonville, Florida. It provides hands-on experience across finance and accounting functions, including financial reporting, forecasting, business unit analysis, return on investment, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger maintenance. The intern works closely with the Finance and Accounting team to support day-to-day operations, learn best practices, and develop an understanding of how finance and accounting contribute to the business. The position also offers exposure to the company and opportunities to build a cross-functional professional network.

Requirements

• Be working toward a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related discipline.
• Possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license before employment.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Be team-oriented and able to work collaboratively.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude toward learning and professional development.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct.
• Have strong organizational and planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Suggest improvements to finance and accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist with monthly or quarterly closing activities by ensuring accounts are up to date.
• Support the Finance and Accounting team’s day-to-day operations.
• Complete additional tasks or projects to learn about accounting and office operations.
