About The Position

As a Financial Relationship Banker, you help consumer and business customers achieve their financial goals by retaining and growing customer relationships. You proactively identify customers’ financial goals and needs and recommend appropriate deposit, loan, and other banking products and services. The role is based in an office branch environment and contributes to an inclusive team that serves customers, the bank, and the community.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of customer service and sales experience in banking, financial services, goal-driven retail sales, or business-to-business sales; alternatively, military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role.
• Ability to build, deepen, and retain relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort with technology, including mobile and online banking services.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of customer service and sales experience in banking, financial services, goal-driven retail sales, or business-to-business sales.
• Demonstrated knowledge or ability in banking, sales, investments, consumer lending, business banking, business lending, customer service, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of consumer and business deposit products.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve customer issues.
• Identify opportunities to grow customer relationships through pre-set appointments, Centers of Influence, a disciplined sales process, customer follow-up, and referrals from customers, colleagues, and partners.
• Educate and refer customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build internal partnerships.
• Educate customers on using online, mobile, and ATM banking technology effectively.
• Maintain knowledge of products, services, technology, and policies.
• Follow operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
