About The Position

As a Financial Relationship Banker, you help consumer and business customers achieve their financial goals by retaining and growing customer relationships. You proactively identify customers’ financial goals and needs and recommend appropriate deposit, loan, and other banking products and services. The role is part of a welcoming and inclusive branch banking team where colleagues can share ideas and contribute to customers, the bank, and the community.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of customer service and sales experience in banking, financial services, goal-driven retail sales, business-to-business sales, or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role.
• Provide fingerprints as required by NMLS regulations and meet additional background check requirements.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of customer service and sales experience in banking, financial services, goal-driven retail sales, or business-to-business sales.
• Ability to build, deepen, and retain relationships.
• Acumen in banking, sales, investments, consumer lending, business banking, business lending, customer service, and presentations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking.
• Knowledge of consumer and business deposit products.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve customer issues.
• Identify opportunities to grow customer relationships through pre-set appointments, Centers of Influence, a disciplined sales process, a new customer follow-up program, and referrals from customers, bank colleagues, and partners.
• Educate customers and refer them to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build internal partnerships.
• Educate customers on using bank technology, including online, mobile, and ATM banking.
• Maintain knowledge of products, services, technology, and policies.
• Follow operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
