About The Position
R1 is hiring a Financial Counseling Representative to support patients with insurance coverage, financial responsibility, payment solutions, and financial assistance. The representative serves as a trusted guide for patients navigating healthcare costs and helps create a positive patient experience in a hospital environment. The role is on-site at Ascension Via Christi Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan, Kansas, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The position offers experience in healthcare financial counseling and revenue cycle, exposure to insurance and Medicaid processes, and opportunities for growth within R1. The representative works in a fast-paced setting that involves multiple systems, phone calls, and in-person interactions, collaborating with clinicians, emergency staff, care teams, and revenue cycle departments. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
