FINANCIAL CLEARANCE SPLST II BMT, M-F 8:30am - 5pm
About The Position
The Financial Clearance Specialist II identifies the responsible party for payment of services, verifies patient eligibility and benefits, secures authorizations from insurance companies, or finds financial alternatives for patients to support the financial health of Moffitt Cancer Center. The role analyzes, identifies, and resolves barriers; monitors assigned worklists throughout the day; creates and allocates policies accurately; submits clinical information accurately; and follows up promptly and effectively. The specialist exhausts available resources for clearance, understands automation processes, and communicates effectively with patients and clinical teams so patients can receive needed care promptly and the center is reimbursed for services rendered. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
