Financial Center Teller
About The Position
HAPO Community Credit Union is seeking an ambitious, self-motivated Financial Center Teller in the Yakima area. The position serves members by providing account assistance, identifying products and services that may benefit them, and representing HAPO’s commitment to being present and exceeding expectations. Candidates should be skilled at multitasking, communicate effectively, have basic math knowledge, handle stressful situations, and pay close attention to detail. The role is onsite in Yakima, Washington. Training lasts approximately two weeks at HAPO’s headquarters in Richland, Washington. The schedule is 35–40 hours per week between 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturdays required. Starting hourly pay is $20.00–$28.97, with selected candidates typically hired between the minimum and midpoint based on applicable experience and qualifications.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
- Ability to work 35–40 hours per week within the stated schedule, including rotating Saturdays.
- Excellent multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math knowledge.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and pay attention to detail.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in customer service, cash handling, or sales.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish; bilingual Spanish is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist members with general account inquiries.
