American Modern Insurance Group is recruiting for a Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst plays a critical role for the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, and is responsible for analyzing data and trends, identifying variances to plan, highlighting potential areas of opportunity, and forecasting future results.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or advanced degree and/or CPA or CFA
Candidates must be located in or near Cincinnati, OH
Strong analytical abilities.
Strong attention to detail and a controls framework mindset
An ability to relate numbers to ideas.
Strong written and oral communication skills to be able to discuss financial report concepts with non-experts.
Strategic mindset and drives results.
Some experience with financial analysis and presentations

Responsibilities

Generate and analyze financial reports that show actual results compared to prior year and plan
Collaborate with others in and outside of FP&A as you research variances and trends
Contribute to the development and implementation of the monthly and long range financial plans
Participate in projects and initiatives to increase transparency of result drivers
Ad hoc analyses and presentations of results, plans, and forecasts
