About The Position

Community Concepts is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join their Finance Department. This is a full-time, exempt position working closely with Finance and Program leadership. The role is based in their Lewiston office, supporting collaboration across both on-site and remote teams. The starting salary range is $56,000-$64,000 annually.

Requirements

  • Minimum four years’ experience in accounting or financial work.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office especially Excel is required.
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams and lead and motivate others.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related field preferred; seven to ten years of commensurate experience may be considered as a substitute for college training.
  • Experience with nonprofit accrual accounting strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of OMB regulations (Uniform Guidance) is a plus
  • Familiarity with state and government grants and related reporting requirements
  • Experience with QuickBooks and/or MIP accounting systems is strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability and interest in learning new systems, technologies, and AI tools to improve financial processes

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial data and produce accurate, timely reports to support Directors and program leaders in monthly financial reviews
  • Prepare forecasting and perform financial analysis as needed or requested
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with nonprofit accrual accounting standards, grant requirements, and OMB (Office of Management and Budget) regulations
  • Prepare and review financial reports and billings for state, federal, and other funding sources
  • Partner with Directors and Finance leadership to support audit preparation
  • Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support program decision-making
  • Collaborate effectively with both remote and on-site teams, providing financial guidance and support
  • Utilize accounting systems and tools such as MIP and QuickBooks for journal entries and financial reporting
  • Demonstrate adaptability and a willingness to learn and leverage new technologies, including AI and evolving accounting systems
  • Other finance related duties as needed
