  • Working GAAP foundation sufficient to connect forecast to actuals and partner with accounting on close, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders and distinguish facts, assumptions, judgment, and uncertainty.
  • Strong judgment when handling sensitive data and an audit-ready documentation mindset, including controls, evidence, and lineage.
  • Passion for Blue Origin’s mission and ability to work full-time on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Support recurring FP&A cycles, including monthly forecasts, quarterly reforecasts, and the annual operating plan.

  • Develop deep working knowledge of the assigned program element, including its organizational structure, cost drivers, resource allocation, and connection to overall Blue Origin cost goals.
  • Build and maintain driver-based financial models translating operational inputs into P&L, headcount, and capital; document assumptions and pressure-test outputs.
  • Maintain financial controls for the assigned scope, including cost collection accuracy, charge code integrity, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Query, reconcile, and validate data from ERP, planning, and modern data platforms; resolve conflicting signals and connect source data to leadership conclusions.
